Salsa should be hot enough to make your nose run. In other words, burn as hot as the hell that's waiting for you for looking forward to this more than church.
Clint Eastwood is the cowboy you should want to be; strong, stoic, fast on the draw, one step ahead of his enemies, and sounds ridiculous but the ability to stare down a rattle snake.
This is potentially a much deeper subject than just a movie on Sunday. The day does stand out because of culture and religion as a day that naturally has a different flow to it. It may be that embedded in the laws of the universe certain activities work better on different days of the week. I'm anxious to discover what other day/activity combinations are out there.
I could always stomach two Westerns: "Rio Bravo" and "The Cowboys." It always seemed like John Wayne would give you a chance no matter who you were, but I'm certain that Clint Eastwood would sooner shoot me than have to look at me - like some of my old gym coaches. Not very approachable, and I squirm out of the room.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Oh, Kelly. Good post- especially that part about salsa, hell, and church. Amen.
ReplyDeletehhahahaha. Tara stole my comment, "Oh, Kelly." Ha. Write me a book someday. I love how this is written. And...I take my salsa mild, thank you.
ReplyDeleteAh yes. Sunday afternoons with Kelly. Awesome! It's been a while since I've seen a good western. I'm long overdue....
